Linear Technician

About the role

The Linear Unit Technician supports the Linear Specialist or Operations Manager in all operational areas of linear units. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, assisting with process improvements, and performing various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment in the shop, yard, or location
• Install, inspect, and repair oilfield pumping units
• Deploy to remote locations with limited medical resources
• Participate in safety efforts including lockout/tagout, DOT-FMCSA laws, and rigging
• Assist with equipment tasks such as bucket truck aerial lifts, crane rig ups, and truck driving
• Support product efforts like unit alignment, stroke changes, and well pump re-spacing
• Contribute to project-based tasks as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid state driver's license with a clean record
• Physical demands: lifting up to 55 lbs, standing/sitting for 8+ hours, working at heights with fall protection
• Working conditions: exposure to extreme heat/cold, weekends/holidays, and remote locations

Qualifications

• Comfortable working at heights with proper fall protection
• Experience in field service repair or oil field repair preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Passionate about maintaining employee health and safety

• Technical aptitude for equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to operate multiple types of equipment
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with regulations
