Linear Technician

About the role

The Linear Unit Technician supports the Linear Specialist or Operations Manager in all areas of operation within linear units. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, performing rig-ups/downs, and contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with the operation, rig-up/down of equipment & tools and related equipment in the shop, yard, or location
• Install, inspect, and repair various types of Oilfield Pumping Units
• Operate and maintain multiple types of equipment or processes as part of a competency development program
• Deploy to remote locations for assignments, ensuring safety and compliance with DOT-FMCSA laws
• Participate in safety efforts including pumping unit lock out/tag out, and assist with equipment and product assembly and inspection
• Contribute to other projects as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean record
• Physical requirements: able to carry heavy objects, work in varying weather conditions, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Work schedule: minimum 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, with potential for overtime, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Comfortable working at heights with proper fall protection
• Experience in field service repair or oil field repair preferred
