Line Worker - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced production environment, performing manual labor regarding all aspects of the packaging of various meat products.
• Absolutely required to assist in any department (other than their primary department) when and where their assistance is required.
• All employees are required to work in a safe manner.

Essential Functions

• Mark product bins, cages, and carts with identifying code information.
• Must be capable of lifting 30-40 lbs. frequently, in addition to pushing/pulling fully loaded meat cages & product bins.
• Document all production-related activities pertaining to the Product Traceability Computer System.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, and hazard-free.
• Consistent & reliable attendance.
• The ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• A good understanding of health and safety and basic hygiene rules.
• Good powers of observation to spot problems with produce the ability to maintain. Concentration for repetitive tasks.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good teamwork skills, the ability to work alone, and a willingness to work flexibly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar position preferred.
• Ability to lift 30-40 lbs. frequently.
• Basic computer literacy.
