Line Maintenance Mechanic "A"

About the role

Maintenance Mechanic “A” for the Meridian, MS Coated Plant at Atlas Roofing Shingles and Underlayments Division.

Must be able to work in differing working conditions: Temperature, Wet, Humid, Noise, Atmospheric Conditions.

Responsibilities

• Must follow all plant safety and PPE requirements.
• Responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facility.
• Inspect, dismantle, repair, replace, install, clean and assemble as necessary to maintain equipment/buildings as necessary.
• Use various types of meters and testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and communicate effectively with supervision and engineering team.
• Interpret blue prints.
• Welding.
• Performs daily inspections and maintains repair logs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years verifiable mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• One (1) year as a Class “B” Maintenance Mechanic and One (1) year as a Class “C” Maintenance Mechanic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Certificate of completion from Class “B” and “C” TPC training modules.

• Able to provide relevant, clear and timely information.
• Able to anticipate needs of the facility and proceed to a solution with minimal direction.
• Able to analyze and develop solutions in timely manner.
• Must be able to work independently, as well as with the team.
• Must have basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to use power tools including electrical testing and measuring equipment.
