Line Loader - Day Shift

Purpose of the Position

Operate and monitor loader equipment to properly fill containers with the product.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Run loader to properly fill baskets or trays depending on the line.
• Verify and monitor equipment setup and timing according to SOP.
• Load product correctly according to SOP.
• Check codes per mandated SOP.
• Monitor product and trays/baskets for possible issues or defects; take appropriate corrective action.
• Perform weekly sanitation.
• Participate as a member of the Team, including ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members.
• Attend appropriate team meetings.
• As a member of the Team, foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues (e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc.).
• Accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bring them to the attention of the team leader, work with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues, actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
• Be familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies); understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems – including consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
• Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
