Crescent Line Leaders oversee production line manufacturing processes and personnel to ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Regulatory, Customer standards, and Productivity requirements. Line Leads drive daily production to meet customer demand and schedules, provide training, and maintain safety and quality standards in a regulated cGMP environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safety
    • Read and understand "Doing it Safe" guidelines
    • Ensure production line is set up and operates safely
    • Ensure all line workers understand safety requirements (PPE)
    • Participate in and promote Safety Observations; address unsafe acts or behaviors
  • People
    • Recognize and motivate line workers to join the Crescent team full-time
    • Train production line staff and monitor performance to optimize workflow
    • Collaborate with Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues
  • Productivity
    • Manage and prioritize staffing assignments with supervisors and team leads to meet customer demand and production schedules
    • Plan and schedule each hour of the shift to maximize output
    • Provide clear instructions to assembly line workers, ensuring they have necessary tools
    • Verify, manage, and reconcile inventory consumption and balances
    • Collaborate with production leads/supervisors to resolve issues affecting on-time delivery
    • Use basic problem-solving skills to maintain stable work cell operations
    • Report quality, process, equipment, material, or labor concerns to Production Supervisor
    • Proactively stage daily workflow and line changeovers
  • Quality
    • Execute and coordinate employee training to meet regulatory and customer specifications
    • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures
    • Ensure traceability of materials requiring lot/expiration dates
    • Adhere to documented policies and procedures per the company’s Quality System
    • Complete required documentation for business or regulatory needs
    • Prevent and minimize deviations and nonconformances
    • Sustain and drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities
    • Maintain, coordinate, and complete standard work
  • Data Integrity
    • Accurately track products and materials from staging to finished production in Pack Manager
    • Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity
    • Complete required documentation and update system records
  • Customer Value
    • Complete paperwork and administrative tasks, including updating records and noting issues
    • Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor
  • Financial
    • Operate within staffing requirements for each order
    • Seek out means to eliminate waste on the production line

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understand percentages
  • Self-driven to monitor production lines and improve workflow
  • Strong communication skills to inspire and achieve results
  • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving targets and eliminating waste
  • Ability to accept and embrace change
  • Problem-solving skills to break down issues and produce logical solutions
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks based on daily demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams or projects
  • Regulatory cGMP manufacturing experience
  • Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience

Skills

  • Systems Usage: Pack Manager, Kronos, EDI (e.g., SAP)
  • Performance Metrics: Production Line Safety, Quality, Pack-Manager Data Entry & Errors, Efficiency, Optimization, Line Lead Certification Completion

Work Environment / Physical Demands

  • Fast-paced environment requiring adherence to guidelines and teamwork to meet production goals
  • Ability to establish repetitious routines and adjust as needed
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Pay

$21.50 USD per hour
