Line Cook (Wok)

Location: 9724 SW Washington Square Road, Tigard, OR 97223 (Washington Square)

Compensation: $23.50 per hour (base rate; actual range may vary based on experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors; not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits).

About the Role

Line Cooks (Wok) are responsible for preparing, cooking and plating all the wok line items.

Responsibilities

• Learn all wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures.
• Check ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking.
• Cook the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s recipes.
• Plate the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s plating guidelines.
• Prepare and cut garnishes for wok line items.
• Label all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and wok meetings.
• Keep all kitchen areas clean and sanitized.
• Organize items within the walk‑in coolers and freezers.
• Lift/move boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds).
• Assist with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
