Position Summary
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients by cutting, chopping, mixing, and portioning.
- Cook food using grilling, frying, sautéing, and other methods.
- Complete daily prep lists and assigned kitchen tasks.
- Label, date, store, and rotate food products properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards.
- Assist with opening, closing, and restocking duties.
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Report safety concerns and maintain a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of kitchen/prep cook experience or culinary school training.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift, carry, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
- Work around hot equipment, sharp tools, and varying temperatures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
