Line Cook

The Original Pancake House is a breakfast-only restaurant open 7 days a week from 7:00 AM–2:00 PM Monday–Friday and 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Saturday–Sunday. Early mornings (6:15 AM start) and weekend availability are required. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

About the role

You will prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes for restaurant guests. We’re looking for an experienced Line Cook who can manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly, productive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, tracking old and new items, and rotating stock
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating ovens and grills
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
• Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
• Work as a team player

Requirements

• Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to attain)
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs
• Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
• Must be able to work weekends

Pay

• Entry-level cooks start at $17.13 per hour
• Experienced cooks can earn up to $21 per hour
• All back-of-house employees earn tips ranging from $4–6 per hour, paid weekly on Fridays
