Line Cook
About the role
You will be responsible for in-depth knowledge of all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/safety information. You'll prepare a variety of food items using necessary kitchen equipment such as ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers. You will need to plate all dishes in accordance with DAC guidelines, assuring that each item is cooked to the Chef and Guest's specifications before serving. You'll also complete station prep lists with directions from the Chef and maintain sufficient levels of food products to ensure a smooth service period.
Location
1325 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. The Denver Athletic Club is across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, 2 blocks from the 16th Street Mall and a 3-minute walk from Civic Center Park.
Schedule
Mainly evening shifts, with no late-night work. Weekend availability is preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the restaurant industry
- Banquet, fine dining, or private club experience is preferred
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
- Must be able to communicate clearly with management staff and work well with colleagues
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
