Line Cook
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and chef standards.
- Follow direction from culinary leadership and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Set up and break down assigned stations, including detailed cleaning of work areas.
- Maintain consistency and quality of all food items.
- Understand menu items, ingredients, and allergy considerations.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house team members regarding menu items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist team members as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Fundamentals
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a fine dining or upscale casual environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in English required; a second language is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for extended periods in a kitchen environment.
