Line Cook

About the role

The Marriott Park Ridge is seeking a Line Cook to join their dynamic team. Located near Woodcliff Lake, Nyack, The Outlets at Bergen Town Center, and New York City, the hotel offers a range of amenities including breakfast at Brea’s, a spacious work desk with high-speed internet, and dining options like Sean O’Casey’s.

Responsibilities

• Crafts dishes according to standard recipes or guest specifications
• Ensures meticulous product storage and precise portion control for each dish
• Maintains immaculate cleanliness and functionality of refrigeration, storage, and work areas
• Monitors food, produce, and cooking supply levels to facilitate timely reordering
• Lift, carry, push, or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and use all kitchen equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Culinary or Apprenticeship Program preferred
• Minimum of 1 year cook experience in a hotel setting preferred
• Minimum of 1 year cook experience in a similar role, size of operation required
• Managers Food Handlers Certification required
