About the role
The Marriott Park Ridge is seeking a Line Cook to join their dynamic team. Located near Woodcliff Lake, Nyack, The Outlets at Bergen Town Center, and New York City, the hotel offers a range of amenities including breakfast at Brea’s, a spacious work desk with high-speed internet, and dining options like Sean O’Casey’s.
Responsibilities
- Crafts dishes according to standard recipes or guest specifications
- Ensures meticulous product storage and precise portion control for each dish
- Maintains immaculate cleanliness and functionality of refrigeration, storage, and work areas
- Monitors food, produce, and cooking supply levels to facilitate timely reordering
- Lift, carry, push, or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and use all kitchen equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Culinary or Apprenticeship Program preferred
- Minimum of 1 year cook experience in a hotel setting preferred
- Minimum of 1 year cook experience in a similar role, size of operation required
- Managers Food Handlers Certification required
