About the role

The Line Cook position at Somerset Assisted Living maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards for dinnerware, glassware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position ensures work areas are kept as a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation. Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for dinnerware, glassware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods.
• Ensure work areas are kept as a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace.
• Comply with federal, state, and local standards for community operation.
• Incorporate Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into daily work and interactions with others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler's card upon starting.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and background checks.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient.

Schedule

• Full-time, Sundays through Wednesdays, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm.
• Full-time, Tuesdays through Saturdays, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
• 8-hour shifts.
• Holiday availability preferred.
