Responsibilities
- Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
- Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.
- Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for all meal periods and events in accordance with Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ensure all food products are prepared safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Support Sodexo’s commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience by delivering high-quality dishes and contributing to effective kitchen teamwork.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Perform physical tasks including significant walking, standing for extended periods (exceeding 8 hours), reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Perform repetitive motions.
- Attend work and arrive on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.
- Additional duties may be assigned and can vary by account based on business needs and client requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good working knowledge of food preparation.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
Pay
$26.52 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, weekdays – morning shifts. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
