About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned station.
- Ensure all food is cooked and served at the proper temperature and quality level.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with other cooks, kitchen staff, and management.
- Aid teammates as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Maintain cleanliness in prep areas, coolers, and storage spaces.
- Perform opening, running, and closing duties as assigned by management.
- Support a culture of teamwork, hospitality, and integrity in all actions.
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and passion for great food.
- Knowledge of basic cooking methods and food safety standards.
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and organized in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Teamwork mentality and clear communication with others.
- Finger dexterity and knife-handling skills.
- Basic math skills related to recipes and portioning.
- Prior line or prep cook experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move quickly for up to 6 hours per shift.
- Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
- Work in a warm, fast-paced kitchen environment.
