About the role
Puttshack is looking to attract a diverse team of fun hospitality associates who care deeply about creating an elevated, one-of-a-kind guest experience. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, producing, plating, and garnishing all menu items. Your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the Executive Chef's exacting standards while setting up the station and maintaining sanitation standards.
Schedule
Our venues are open 7 days a week, typically from 11 AM–1 AM with some variations. While we will do our best to accommodate scheduling preferences, they may not always be guaranteed, and we value flexibility. All positions are variable schedules, ranging from 15 to 30 hours per week depending on business needs and individual availability.
Responsibilities
- Bring your 'A' Game each and every day.
- Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guest needs.
- Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
- Prepare, assemble, and plate menu items according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests.
- Communicate food delays or issues to Culinary Leadership.
- Read a thermometer and food tickets correctly and efficiently.
- Accurately account for all items coming out of a station.
- Understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures, including MSDS.
- Take direction and be a team player.
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Perform other projects or duties as assigned, including side-work, opening, and closing duties.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen.
- Experience operating, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen tools and appliances such as knives, grills, etc.
- Must obtain any licenses or certifications per state and/or local requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively to perform and follow job requirements safely.
- Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the venue, which may include stairs, uneven, or slick surfaces.
- Ability to move and lift up to 10 pounds frequently and occasionally move and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Work in confined, crowded spaces with high noise levels and various temperature levels.
