About the role
The Cook position serves our Independent Living community, offering a mix of fine-dining, casual fare, and pub and grille options. This role provides an opportunity to develop culinary skills while working with fresh, high-quality menus.
Responsibilities
- Serve meals in various dining venues
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to menu specifications
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment
- Support the delivery of exceptional service to residents
Requirements
- Experience in the culinary industry is preferred, but not required
- A strong commitment to delivering culinary excellence and supporting a positive team atmosphere
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods
