Responsibilities
- Set up equipment and ingredients prior to service
- Read and prepare menu items quickly and accurately according to provided recipes
- Prepare food for team member meals
- Perform inventory checks on perishable items and notify leadership of products nearing expiration
- Assist with banquet preparation and production to meet client expectations
- Ensure coolers and prep areas are cleaned, organized, and properly secured at the end of each shift
- Store food correctly, following proper labeling and rotation procedures
- Maintain food quality and sanitation standards before, during, and after service
- Support the team with additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Basic experience in a kitchen setting, including knife skills and sanitation knowledge
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions from the Chef
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and stations
- Understanding of the importance of food waste control
- Ability to read orders from the POS system
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
