About the role

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food items for service in a high-volume restaurant. This role requires a combination of culinary skills and organizational abilities to manage a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standardized recipes
• Ensure proper size and weight of food portions
• Circulate through work area to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control
• Maintain kitchen equipment and walk-in cooler cleanliness
• Perform opening and closing duties
• Follow House of Blues safety and sanitation standards
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed

Requirements

• Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations
• Ability to inspect food spoilage and proper rotation
• Kitchen sanitation and expediting knowledge
• Skills in using all kitchen equipment
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentation
• Attention to detail
• High School Diploma

Physical Demands/Working Environment

• Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
• Extreme Heat
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
