Line Cook
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
- Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set-up for all dishes.
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations; assist others in closing the kitchen whenever possible & appropriate.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of full-service restaurant kitchen experience desired.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
- Must be able to stand, reach, bend, squat, and lift during shift.
- Must possess a friendly, hardworking demeanor with a passion for hospitality and providing top-notch guest service.
- Must have strong communication skills and ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills; must possess ability to be organized in a changing environment.
- Must be flexible of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed; ability to balance personal & professional life.
Hours & Pay
