About the role
The Line Cook is primarily responsible for driving the culinary teams with regards to daily preparation and ensuring the team meets the "Standard of Excellence" in flavors, design, recipe compliance, portioning, and production guidelines.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and manage daily prep in the kitchen.
- Ensure food is properly prepared, packaged, and shipped to comply with recipe standards.
- Ensure the kitchen is closed properly daily.
- Execute service and special events.
- Ensure quality and completeness of food production, adhering to timelines and standards.
- Maintain timely and complete communication with stakeholders to meet quality standards.
- Stay aware of new food trends, delivery methods, ingredients, and plate presentations.
- Manage daily upkeep and organization of kitchen prep areas, cooler, and freezers.
- Rotate products efficiently and assist with inventory and ordering.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in culinary or hospitality, or equivalent work experience in the industry.
- Three or more years of culinary experience; large kitchen experience strongly preferred.
- ServSafe Manager and Allergen certification preferred (or willingness to obtain through training).
- Proficiency with electronic communication, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-related systems.
