About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Line Cook at the prestigious Colleton River Club. We are seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our esteemed team in delivering warm and gracious hospitality to our members and guests in an upscale environment. Responsibilities
- Arrive prepared to work at the scheduled time.
- Prepare required food items using standardized recipes unless otherwise specified.
- Complete work assignments from the Executive and Sous Chef as directed.
- Ensure assigned work areas and equipment are clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Work hot and cold food preparation line stations as directed.
- Work banquet and event hot and cold food preparation stations as directed.
- Serve as Station Chef for interactive carving/cooking stations during events, as directed.
- Follow assigned plating guidelines for presentation set by the Chef.
- Assist with other duties assigned by the Chef.
- Procure and protect food items carefully, properly, and as directed by the Chef.
- Rotate food products properly utilizing the First In, First Out philosophy.
- Understand and apply the concept of cross-contamination prevention.
- Apply practices of safe food holding temperatures.
- Assist in plating food items during service periods.
- Operate food production equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
- Assist in receiving and storing bulk food products as delivered.
- Maintain respect for management, fellow employees, and club members.
- Possess a positive "can and will do" attitude and work as a team member.
- Accept cross-training opportunities and experiences.
- Maintain a neat and clean professional work uniform appearance.
- Protect the assets of Colleton River Plantation Club.
- Focus on the member experience.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- 1-3 years of verifiable basic food production experience.
- Experience working at a Hotel, Club, or Resort preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and understand professional kitchen principles, sanitation standards, and basic hot, cold, and dessert food knowledge.
- Outstanding attitude and team-minded outlook.
- 1-3 years of culinary experience (preferred).
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Be in approved uniform attire and ready to work at scheduled time.
- Observe good personal hygiene.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds required.
- Continuous standing, walking, and repetitive hand motions required.
- Work in a heat-sensitive kitchen environment.
Schedule
Full-time, Wednesday - Sunday. Evening and morning availability preferred.

Pay
$19.00 - $23.00/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
