Role Summary

Cinemark Line Cooks prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment, ensuring guests receive fresh, tasty meals promptly. They play a crucial role in enhancing the movie-going experience by maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all required items in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls
• Fulfills prep lists daily
• Maintains cleanliness and proper storage of all food products
• Collaborates with the server team to ensure accuracy of food orders
• Cleans food preparation area and equipment after each use
• Opens or closes a workstation (depending on scheduled shift)
• Ensures a professional image through proper Cinemark culinary attire
• Consistently achieves standard operating procedures and safety/sanitation protocols
• Wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
• Utilizes personal protective equipment appropriately
• Monitors safety and security issues and reports them to management
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
• Team members working with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Regular and consistent attendance required
• Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Responds with a sense of urgency

Physical And Environmental Requirements

• Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater
• Noise level may be moderate to high at times
• Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
