About the role
The Lincoln Service Porter is responsible for creating a premium, hospitality-focused service experience for Lincoln clients while supporting the overall efficiency of the service department.
Responsibilities
- Welcome Lincoln and Ford service clients with a warm, professional, and helpful approach.
- Serve as the first point of contact on the service drive and guide clients to the appropriate Service Advisor.
- Aid Service Advisors with client write-ups, service reservations, follow-ups, and other customer service functions.
- Learn and utilize dealership systems including CDK, Shop Loader, and Lincoln Valet to support service operations.
- Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of customer-facing areas, including the Ford and Lincoln showroom restrooms, waiting areas, service drive, and guest amenities, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all clients.
- Drive vehicles to and from the service drive, technician stalls, parking areas, wash areas, and delivery locations as needed.
- Retrieve customer vehicles promptly and efficiently for Service Advisors and clients.
- Install protective coverings including seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and vehicle tags upon arrival.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly cleaned, sanitized, and prepared before customer delivery.
- Remove protective coverings and perform final vehicle inspections prior to delivery.
- Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles as needed to maintain Lincoln service standards.
- Keep the service department, back lot, customer areas, shop floors, windows, doors, and driveways clean and organized.
- Transport customers to and from their homes or designated locations when requested.
- Support Lincoln Pickup & Delivery and other client convenience programs.
- Test drive vehicles when requested by the Service Manager or service technicians.
- Follow all dealership safety, security, and operational procedures.
- Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and educational programs.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in compliance with dealership policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with all service department team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma preferred.
- Previous customer service, porter, valet, hospitality, or automotive experience is a plus, but not required.
- A valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to safely maneuver vehicles in tight spaces and busy service environments.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer and internet proficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service.
