About the Role

Young Life is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team, focusing on spiritual development, leadership, and direct ministry. This role involves working closely with youth and adults, fostering a vibrant spiritual life, and actively participating in the Young Life community. The position is based in Lincoln City, with responsibilities including leading a Young Life or WyldLife club, assisting current mission staff, and potentially transitioning into a leadership role in the future.

Responsibilities

• Spiritual Development:
  • Develop a yearly personal growth plan that includes solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer, and engagement with God’s Word.
  • Actively participate in a church community and maintain spiritual disciplines.
  • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Leadership Development:
  • Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
  • Recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse leadership team.
  • Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
• Resource Development:
  • Raise financial support and maintain donor relationships.
  • Communicate ministry updates to donors.
  • Assist with camp fundraisers and attend committee functions.
• Direct Ministry:
  • Engage in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camp activities.
  • Lead a team in conducting Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
  • Participate in summer and school-season camping strategies.
• Ministry Support:
  • Adhere to Young Life policies and maintain professionalism.
  • Set and review yearly ministry and personal goals.
  • Assist with office administration and complete expense reports.
• Training:
  • Participate in regional and area training events.
  • Receive individualized training in ministry skills and personal spiritual maturity.
  • Learn personal fundraising principles and engage in Young Life discipleship experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Pursuing a college degree.

Job Specific Details

• Senior Leader of 1 club for Lincoln City Young Life or WyldLife, determined after hire.
• Growing in a personal relationship with Jesus and learning Young Life ministry specifics.
• Assisting current mission staff Leslie Mumma, with potential to take over her role in the future.

Pay

The anticipated hourly rate for this position ranges from $15.55 to $19.25/hr, depending on relevant education, experience, and location.
