Limited License Physician (Supervised)

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and ongoing assessments of residents under supervision
• Aid in developing and implementing individualized care plans
• Maintain oversight of residents' clinical status and report changes to the supervising physician
• Participate in admissions, readmissions, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient encounters accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Support management of chronic conditions, post-acute care, and rehabilitation progress
• Aid in medication management and reconciliation
• Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care plans

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with eligibility for a Limited Permit in New York State
• Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed physician as required
• Strong clinical judgment and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Prior experience in geriatrics, internal medicine, or rehabilitation preferred, but not required
