About the role
At Ultimate Ninjas, we offer preschool classes, kids classes, open gym, summer camps, and birthday parties for ages 3–5. Our Lil Ninjas program focuses on movement, obstacle courses, challenge, and confidence-building in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support Lil Ninjas classes for ages 3–5
- Coach children through movement-based activities and obstacle work
- Maintain safety, structure, transitions, and positive group energy
- Support children in building confidence, resilience, coordination, and body awareness
- Communicate professionally and positively with families
- Track class attendance and support parent sign-in/check-in procedures
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and class-ready space before, during, and after programming
Requirements
- Candidates should meet most or all of the following:
- 6 months to 2 years of experience working with children in a structured setting such as coaching, childcare, camps, early education, youth sports, enrichment programs, or related environments
- Experience leading, assisting with, or managing small to medium groups of children, ideally in active or movement-based settings
- Strong ability to give clear directions, maintain structure, and manage transitions with young children
- Comfort working with children ages 3–5 in a fast-paced, active environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to consistently report to our Anaheim Hills location
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with both children and families
- Reliability, organization, and the ability to support day-to-day program operations including attendance, parent sign-ins, class readiness, and space upkeep
Qualifications
- The following are strongly preferred, but not required:
- 1 to 3 years of experience working with younger and older children in a structured setting such as coaching, camps, youth sports, enrichment programs, or related environments
- Coursework, completed credits, or related academic background in education, child development, kinesiology, psychology, ABA, special education, youth development, fitness, wellness, or related fields
- Previous experience in preschool, Pre-K, early childhood, or youth sports settings
- Experience in gymnastics, ninja, parkour, climbing, fitness, or other movement-based programs
- Experience supporting children with different learning, behavioral, sensory, or developmental needs
- CPR and/or First Aid certification
- Volunteer, internship, practicum, or assistant experience in youth programs, camps, schools, gyms, studios, or community organizations
Schedule
Typically 10–20 hours/week
Pay
$17-$20/hour depending on experience, qualifications, availability, and overall fit
