Responsibilities
- Responsible for electrical lighting maintenance scope including changing bulbs, ballasts, and drivers on existing lighting fixtures.
- Work from aerial lifts in most cases and be a direct interface with customers.
- Dispatched daily to customers and responsible for resolving customers' lighting problems in the highest professional and safe manner.
- Complete all site documentation on an electronic device requiring knowledge of current smart phone / personal tablet technology.
- Present yourself in a clean and professional manner at all times, with a primary focus on customer satisfaction, quality and safety.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic lighting components.
- Install and mount lighting controls, devices, sensors, and components.
- Safely operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks.
- Test lighting systems and continuity of circuits in fixtures using testing devices.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning lighting systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Read contract drawings.
- Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be committed to excellence and generate high quality work.
- Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10
- Any other relevant certifications (e.g. Lift / Aerial Training)
Physical Abilities
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks including loading, unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in transportation of materials.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
- Relocate a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at various heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong (not including solving the problem).
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
