LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - SIDE MOWER

Responsibilities

Operates a variety of general, small, and simple equipment in the performance of construction, maintenance, and repair work to streets, landscaped areas, and/or other related areas, which may include any of the equipment listed above and/or other related equipment.

Transports equipment and/or materials to designated job site(s).

Inspects, maintains, and performs basic repairs to equipment.

Operates a variety of small motorized and/or hand tools to perform manual labor activities.

Performs a variety of duties requiring manual labor including loading and unloading shipments, flagging traffic, assembling structures, picking up debris, and/or other related duties.

Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Requirements

• Educational Requirement: High School Diploma (G.E.D.) and one year of proficiency in the use and operation of qualifying equipment designated by the department; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensing Requirement: Valid Driver's License as per State law or Department requirement. Public Works or other recognized Training Certification on Qualifying Equipment. Some positions may require a CDL (class to be determined by equipment assignment).
