Light Equipment Operator - Parks
Essential Duties
Operates a motor grader, skid-steer or bulldozer for leveling and rough grading in parks;
Operates a backhoe for removing concrete and rough grading;
Operates skip loaders loading materials in trucks, or 10-yard dump trucks for transporting building and construction materials;
Drives and operates a variety of specialized equipment such as water pumps, flush trucks, power trenchers, aerial trucks, disc and landscape blades, flail mowers, lawn aerators, post hole diggers, concrete saws, pulvi-mixers, three and seven gang mowers, seeders and fertilizers and other equipment used in park construction and maintenance and for other public properties.

Requirements
- One (1) year experience in the operation of light and heavy maintenance equipment such as skid-steer loaders, graders, dozers, backhoes, three and seven gang mowers, heavy dump trucks, towing trailers, front loaders with sand bucket and clamshell implements;
- An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the capabilities to perform the described job duties.
Examination
August 11, 2026 (Tentative)
A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
