Light Equipment Operator

Position Summary

The Industrial Light Equipment Operator will operate various construction equipment including bobcats, bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, rollers, RT forklift, graders, 4,000 Gallon Water Truck, 84' Steel Drum Roller, 84' Padfoot Roller, JD 744 Loader, and tractor with plow. Responsibilities include moving earth and materials, safety inspections, and assisting other crafts.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience as an Equipment Operator.
• Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• May require a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle records check.
• Must have all required tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate various construction dirt equipment to move earth and equipment in precision processes.
• Inspect equipment.
• Be responsible for all safety aspects of operating the equipment.
• Follow signal directions from a signaler in equipment operations.
• Access area of operations for safety issues and required processes and planning of equipment operations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of operating various construction equipment including but not limited to bobcats, bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, rollers, RT forklift, and graders.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to inspect equipment.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with soil types and specifications for excavations.
• Ability to follow instructions correctly.
• Reliability, accountability, and consistency in performing administrative processes such as equipment inspection paperwork.
• Willingness and ability to follow all instructed safety regulations.
• Able to work on time and follow the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with proper notification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
• Valid Driver’s License.
