Light Equipment Operator 1
Operational Duties
- Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment
- Set up and adjust machine and equipment for production runs
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain machine to ensure its optimum operation
- May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed
- May coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and provide training for new team members
Qualifications
- Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment
- Ability to operate the equipment
- Skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment
- Ability to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
- Identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments
Additional Information
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $15.84- $16.73/hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
