Pay
Base Pay: $16.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 5:55 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Thursday, plus overtime as needed
- 3rd Shift: 7:55 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday–Wednesday, plus overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Produce daily job assignments as directed by departmental Supervisor or Line Leader
- Handle parts to avoid surface damage
- Operate with limited supervision and prioritize work functions
- Produce quality parts, primarily through visual inspection and first inspection of product
- Be accountable for quality and productivity goals
- Communicate problems, concerns, and needs with internal customers
- Communicate with Supervisor, Quality Engineers, and other departmental employees on opposite shifts regarding production, quality, problems, or related information
- Collaborate with other line members in troubleshooting problems
- Communicate and initiate action for defects detected in inspection functions
- Ensure jobs and setups are run according to procedures
- Ensure environmental compliance after instructions from Supervisor/Environmental Group
- Perform routine housekeeping in work area as necessary
- Complete any other tasks or duties assigned by the Supervisor
Requirements
- High school graduate preferred but not required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Understanding of quality control procedures and customer expectations
- Able to work effectively with others
- Experience in a production environment meeting schedules and rates
- Understanding of packaging and assembly technology
- Excitement to learn new skills
- Tendency to follow set instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven team player

- Strong work record in safety, quality, and dependability
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Repeated lifting and packing of items (3 to 6 lbs.)
- Some heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs. of a non-repetitive nature
- Work with sharp tools and sharp edges on parts
- Attention to detail in inspection
- Must work as part of a team
- Requires standing, walking, and/or moving about for periods in excess of one hour
- Requires repetitive turning and/or lifting motions
- Work overtime as needed
- Work under pressure to meet schedules, handle personnel issues, and adapt to changing priorities
- Work with all levels of employees
- Perform duties while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye, ear, foot, and other protective devices
