Lift Truck Driver, Seasonal

About the Role

As a Lift Truck Driver at Carter’s Inc., you will locate and move inventory throughout the Stockbridge Distribution Center to ensure the timely processing of customer orders. This role reports to the Operations Supervisor and plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move inventory to support order processing.
• Lock inventory to "Lost" and communicate with the Inventory Department.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety, and C-TPAT compliance in your assigned area.
• Adhere to company policies regarding safety.
• Collaborate with Wave Planning, Inventory Control, and Training teams to ensure process adherence.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned, including pulling orders during low-volume periods.
• Support Coordinators/Supervisors in operational duties across the Distribution Center.
• Operate an order picker or reach truck for most of your shift.

Requirements

• Must pass lift driver and safety certification.
• Basic knowledge of WMOS, including scanner tasks and functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and stand for shifts up to 12 hours.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with supervisors, managers, and peers.
• Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time) during peak seasons.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience operating equipment in an automated, fast-paced distribution environment.
• Efficiency in material handling and stock movement.
