About the Role
This role is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving all inbound and outbound materials, parts, and supplies, as well as logging and delivering them to designated areas. Employees will generally focus on warehouse and material handling functions.
Compensation: $21.59 an hour plus a $1.00 shift premium, paid weekly. Night shift available: 5:20 PM to 5:30 AM, with 3 paid breaks.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload all inbound and outbound shipments, including boxes, bags, miscellaneous parts, and supplies, after verifying trailer wheels are chocked.
- Verify packing lists by counting received items, sign and date packing lists, and enter information into SAP.
- Deliver materials to designated departments daily; promptly handle air freight or emergency shipments and forward packing lists to purchasing.
- Place cartons and bags in proper warehouse locations and maintain the carton storage area.
- Deliver cartons and bags to the production staging area as needed.
- Perform periodic cycle counts of cartons and bags upon request.
- Prepare shipments with proper packing lists attached.
- Complete a physical count of in-house parts immediately after each production run.
- Perform various SAP functions in the Team Leader’s absence.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Forklift certification or license.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs; occasional lifts up to 75 lbs (all lifts over 75 lbs require a 2-person lift or mechanical assistance).
- Ability to climb approved ladders and movable steps.
- Ability to heed safety warnings, devices, and alarms.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to establish cause-and-effect relationships in a manufacturing environment.

- Feed and operate grinder without jamming or damaging the grinder system.
Inventory Control & Management
- Accurately count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Use proper techniques to arrange materials or items in specified sequences for assembly or distribution.
- Accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems.
Organization
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently to complete assignments and responsibilities.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload as required.
