Lift Station Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair lift stations, pumps, motors and electrical control panels.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures in lift stations and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, controls and basic electrical.
• Record maintenance and repair activities; complete work orders and reports accurately.
• Respond to emergency situations after hours as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and comply with regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPS, etc.).
• Take stand-by for after-hours callouts.

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with pumps, motors, and electrical systems strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces/outdoor conditions.
• Knowledge of wastewater operations or previous utility/maintenance work is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work from heights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of basic electrical.
• Two (2) years' experience in maintenance of pumps, controls, and basic electrical.
