About the role

Join our team as a Warehouse Associate and immediately become part of the largest distributor of conventional, natural, organic, and specialty products in the United States and Canada. You will supply thousands of consumers with better-for-you food that nourishes families nationwide, serving over 43,000 customer locations with 200,000 different products. Our retailers range from small family-owned stores to Whole Foods Markets and everything in between.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for the daily assignment, vehicle inspection sheet, and replenishment discrepancies sheet.
  • Inspect assigned lift and complete the vehicle inspection sheet.
  • Replenish pick slots using the view request screen. If no requests exist, use the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.
  • Perform knockdowns for selectors when needed.
  • Maintain correct counts and log any discrepancies in inventory.
  • Verify that the correct product is being put in the appropriate pick location.
  • Cut and remove shrink wrap from all knockdowns.
  • Remove all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles. Separate good, bad, and blue pallets and neatly stage them in the pallet staging area.
  • Keep the area clean and free of debris.
  • Operate the lift in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Park and recharge the lift in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift.
  • Immediately inform a lead, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety violations or company policy violations.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Understanding of safety guidelines.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable warehouse functions and RF systems.
  • Warehouse/Operations experience preferred but not required.
  • Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be immediately available.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with ordinary, standardized situations.
  • Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard, ounce, and pound.
  • Able to read and communicate in English.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors including education, experience, training, and requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Schedule

Full-time employment opportunity with a shift start at 9 AM.
