Lift Operator - 2nd Shift

Ryder is immediately hiring for full-time Warehouse Material Handlers in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour. Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour when working 2nd shift. Pay is issued weekly.

Schedule

Second shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

About the Role

Warehouse Material Handlers at Ryder work in a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment, handling engine and HVAC parts. Equipment used includes stand-up reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, cherry/order pickers, and walkie riders. These roles support distribution across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license or certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must follow health and safety methods
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
