About the Role
Sugarbush Resort is hiring a Lift Maintenance Assistant to help the maintenance team as a trainee. The trainee will assist in cleaning, sandblasting, and painting parts of all lifts. Other tasks include the safe operation of lifts for work crews. Some small repairs and lubrication will also be performed under supervision of a senior technician. The assistant will maintain tools, equipment, and shop work areas.
This position is full-time seasonal starting at $18/hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate 4 wheelers, all Sugarbush chair lifts, hand and power tools.
- Work outside in various weather conditions, i.e., rain, snow, wind, cold, and/or heat.
- Work weekends and holidays.
- Stand on uneven ground.
- Move quickly and efficiently to different worksites on foot or equipment, including ATVs.
- Perform very heavy work involving exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and lesser weights more often.
- Lift above shoulder level.
- Use hands for grasping and manipulating for long periods of time.
- Climb stairs and/or ladders.
- Withstand noise, such as from lift motor rooms and other heavy machinery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Preferably have lift operation experience and basic mechanical skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
Pay
Starting at $18/hour depending on experience.
Schedule
Four 10-hour days until the end of the fall. Full-time seasonal position.
