Lifestyle Host - Part Time

About the role

KGET is seeking a part-time Host/Producer for their markets-only, Monday-Friday LIVE half-hour lifestyle show.

Responsibilities

• Work with the show producer to deliver content and create entertaining television
• Energetic and self-motivated, with demonstrated writing abilities and interviewing skills
• Organized, creative, flexible, and able to think on their feet
• Prior broadcast hosting experience a must
• Knowledge of and passion for sales a plus
• Responsible for Digital and Social Media content related to the show
• Works well with Sales, Production, Creative Services, and Engineering
• Flexible schedule with a clean driving record
• Production and video editing experience required
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required

Requirements

• Strong field reporting abilities with excellent live abilities
• Able to work under extreme pressure
• Effective writer with good organizational skills
• Experience researching through the internet
• Experience working with a computer-based news system
• Able to accept and make changes based on constructive direction and criticism
• Demonstrated understanding of legal implications of covering the news
• Capable of interacting positively and productively with other employees and the community

Qualifications

• Business/Journalism College degree preferred, or equivalent experience

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
