About the role
Play a key role in executing our company’s purpose statement: We build community by bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live and in the offices where we work. Simply put, we create experiences that connect people.
Responsibilities
- Create, plan, promote and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents.
- Work cohesively with the Communications Associate in developing content for the community communications – website, newsletters, promotional materials, social media accounts, etc.
- Produce, maintain, and follow an annual budget for activity income and expenses.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations and businesses to benefit residents and the overall community.
- Oversee the operation of the amenity center including rentals.
- Develop and implement general policies and procedures.
- Create, coordinate and support for community clubs, groups, and committees.
- Able to create a strong, professional, and symbiotic relationship with the Board of Directors.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and engagement.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates must be able to work onsite at the community and work full-time hours Monday - Friday, with ability to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events.
- Candidates should have 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience and 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications.
- A Bachelors Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check.
- If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits.
- The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include: Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions. Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds. Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events. Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices. Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time hours Monday - Friday, with ability to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events.
