About The Community
This master-planned community will be one of the largest in the state at buildout. It is built around connectivity, community, and sustainability. Members, guests, and staff enjoy several amenities, including a multi-acre lagoon with a white-sand shoreline, an outdoor pool and spa, a rooftop deck, and miles of riding trails for walking, biking, scooters, and golf carts. It is a place where you will find the best of everything the area has to offer, featuring residences, shopping, dining, entertainment, commercial, retail, hospitality, and recreation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, promoting, and executing of a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents
- Help organize and execute community events, holiday events, concerts, dances, and health and education programs
- Present a professional demeanor while building relationships with residents, partners, and vendors
- Oversee volunteer management at events
- Manage the use of the facility for Board, Committee, and other meetings
- Coordinate scheduling, set-up, and clean-up with Maintenance, Janitorial, and staff
- Serve as the go-to resource for residents in party and meeting planning by providing room scheduling, event information, catering, and entertainment resources
- Assist with phones, walk-ins, and perform other administrative duties
Requirements
- 1-2 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations, or other related experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional and energetic demeanor
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with Board, team, residents, volunteers, and contractors
- Strong conflict resolution and excellent “people” skills
- Organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to work independently, and participate as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle liability insurance
Schedule
This is not an 8-5, Monday-Friday desk job. Qualified candidates must be able to work full-time hours that are flexible and will include some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions
- Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds
- Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events
- Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices
- Driving: Ability to operate a vehicle to perform certain job functions (MVR will be reviewed at hire and periodically thereafter)
