Lifeguard - Full-Time
About the role
The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking safety-focused, full-time Professional Lifeguards to ensure the safety of members and program participants at our Chickahominy, Shady Grove, Patrick Henry, and Powhatan locations. Responsibilities
- Relate to members in a professional and courteous manner
- Oversee the safety, cleanliness, and order of lap pools, family pools, and surrounding areas
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of pool equipment
- Be trained in and knowledgeable about emergency procedures set forth by the YMCA of Greater Richmond, follow all procedures, and record and report all accidents and incidents to the Director
- Serve as a role model for part-time aquatics staff and may assist with training other employees
- This position requires 35 hours of direct service guarding
