Position summary
Responsible for protecting the safety of swimmers at Fort Sanders Health & Fitness Center.
Responsibilities
- Practices preventative lifeguarding at the pools at Fort Sanders Health & Fitness Center
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the pools and surrounding areas including controlling chemical balancing and light maintenance
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested
- Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority
- Minimum Experience: One (1) year experience in lifeguarding preferred
- Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications
