About the role
The Global Engineering Services (GES) Team is seeking a skilled and organized Project Manager specializing in Lifecycle Engineering & Management for Amazon’s growing fleet of Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and related technologies for the world-wide Fulfillment Center network.
Responsibilities
- Test, verify and ensure new PIT equipment is delivered and commissioned in line with Industry and Amazon specifications
- Manage escalations and rework of deviations among internal and external stakeholders
- Manage data inputs resulting from audits; including vendor KPI’s, initial quality, and on time delivery
- Be the liaison between technical requirements, vendors, and internal Amazon stakeholders
- Rapidly engage and understand complex technical systems, providing sharp root cause analysis to issue resolution
- Initiate PIT fleet right-sizing opportunities with FC/DC Leadership optimizing utilization to enhance efficiencies
- Create and drive imitative updates to Senior Leadership, planning, and execution teams
- Own a diverse portfolio of short & long-term technical initiatives focused on building a Global Fleet Management Program (Document Writing, Wiki page management, data pipeline coordination, etc.)
- 35% Travel will be required
Requirements
- 1+ years of program or project management experience
- 1+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System program experience
- 1+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or distribution industries experience
- 1+ years of advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) full time experience
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Experience using Microsoft Projects software
- Experience with material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance
- Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams
