Job title: Life Skills Professional
Reports to: Site Supervisor
Position Summary: The Life Skills Professional supports clients through direct interaction during their shift; collaborates with participants to develop life/recovery support/coping/daily living skills. They facilitate and document psychotherapy groups, promoting an informed culture and goal attainment.
- Intervene in crisis situations and document all critical incidents.
- Review and ensure the completion and accuracy of site-required documentation, such as observation checks, MARs, and daily shift notes.
- Support Program Integrity Representatives (PIRs) in maintaining the physical plant by overseeing household chores, entering daily census, and other demographic, intake, and billing data into Avatar.
- Create, implement, monitor, and evaluate daily living plans for participants in line with the Recovery Model.
- Aid participants in setting and achieving personal recovery-oriented goals.
- Collaborate with other agencies to deliver coordinated, continuous, and effective services for participant rehabilitation.
- Develop and update Recovery Support Plans (RSP) goals with participants every 60 days and support them daily.
- Report to the Program Manager regarding maintenance needs and assess program participants' strengths and abilities to tailor skill development approaches.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years of experience in the social service field
- CPRP, CPS, WRAP training (preferred)
- Current valid State Driver’s License

- Physical requirements: Lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, using hands/fingers, climbing, talking/hearing, seeing, pushing/pulling, repetitive motion, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling.
