About the Role
Responsible for supervision and training of individuals with developmental disabilities. Works closely with Case Manager & Program Manager to assist individuals in the development of their skills to their full potential, and foster their independence in a positive and caring manner. Completes required documentation.
Responsibilities
- Use the established methodology for achieving client goals and track progress.
- Provide care, supervision, instruction, and/or job coaching for the individuals we serve, services might be provided in person, remotely, or in the community.
- Participate in weekly online videos.
- Develop activities, curriculum, and schedules for programming in person or remotely.
- Assist the Case Manager in implementation of the Individual Service Plans (ISP's)/Individual Habilitation Component (IHC) and provide documentation as directed by the Program Manager.
- Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and ambulation needs as needed.
- Accurately and legibly evaluate and document the individuals’ progress through daily charting and log notes in the client electronic file.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Prefer three to six months of related experience working with developmentally disabled individuals or other special populations.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass background check, physical, TB, and drug test.
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to use a computer for daily notes, creation of YouTube videos, and video conferencing.
