Life Sciences Supply Chain and Operations – Supply Chain Planning Consultant
About the role
The Life Sciences Supply Chain and Operations team at Accenture specializes in the intersection of functional consulting, data, and technology. We support biopharma and medical device clients in implementing end-to-end planning processes across their supply networks.
Responsibilities
- Understand one or more of the following life sciences planning processes: Patient-Based Demand Forecasting, IBP/S&OP, S&OE, Inventory Optimization, or CMO/CDMO Supply Planning
- Find solutions to clients' life sciences supply chain and planning challenges, including demand volatility, CMO/CDMO constraints, regulatory holds, and launch planning complexity
- Spot and solve challenges using analytical and strategy skills to dive into data and compare vs. industry peers
- Aid in workshops that look for ways to improve organizations and processes
- Determine appropriate methods and procedures for project completion
- Provide clients with insights that help make their companies work better, faster, and more efficiently
- Challenge legacy ways of working using constructive techniques that fuel client growth
- Use digital tech to help clients find new ways to make their organizations more effective and efficient
- Lead small to medium-sized teams with diverse backgrounds, skills, and knowledge
- Support client sales origination and thought leadership development
- Utilize the latest analytical tools and digital tech to help clients find new ways to understand how to make their organizations more effective and efficient
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working on Supply Chain initiatives
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working on Integrated Planning initiatives
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one or many of the following industries: Biopharma, Medical Devices / Med Tech, CDMO/CMO, or adjacent Life Sciences sectors
- Minimum of 1 years of external experience at a consulting firm or 2 years of internal consulting experience in a role equivalent to Manager level within industry
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree
- Developing expertise in one or more of the following life sciences planning domains: Patient-Based Demand Forecasting, IBP/S&OP, S&OE, Inventory Optimization, CMO/CDMO Supply Planning, or Clinical Supply
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Earned an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
- Exposure to life sciences planning platforms such as OMP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP/S4, o9 Solutions, or Blue Yonder, or adjacent systems such as Veeva Vault, SAP ERP, or MES/MOM platforms
- Leverage Lean or Six Sigma qualifications
- Experience using the latest data analytics tools to spot opportunities for improvement
- Prior experience in driving insights using visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)

Annual Salary Range: $70,350 to $205,800
