About the role
The Seeholzer lab in the Department of Neurobiology at Stanford University is seeking a Life Science Research Professional 1 to contribute to research on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of airway sensation and respiratory reflexes. This position is ideal for a motivated recent graduate interested in building research skills and preparing for graduate school.
Responsibilities
- Perform experiments and analyze results
- Maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes
- Contribute to experimental design, analysis, and interpretation
- Contribute to publication of findings through the preparation of figures and text
- Manage the mouse colony, including breeding
- Perform general lab support functions: maintain lab organization and regulatory compliance, and provide other lab support as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Desired Qualifications: Degree in neuroscience, biology, or related field
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in related scientific field
- Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: General understanding of scientific principles, demonstrated performance to use knowledge and skills when needed, demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge of science principals to problem solve work, general computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs, databases, and scientific applications, excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurately complete detailed work
Qualifications
