Responsibilities
- Ensure products and pricing recommendations meet implementation objectives, including design, coding and testing administrative platforms, illustration tools and other support tools.
- Assist with product implementation process on FBL administrative systems.
- Assist with new business and enforce product implementation process on FBL illustration systems.
- Provide support as needed.
- Help maintain rate books and reference manuals.
- Actively participate in implementations of products by documenting and defining administrative requirements, testing values, and reviewing processes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations by implementing accurate administrative calculations and illustration projections, rates, and values in a timely manner.
- Contribute to administrative efforts by inputting system tables and specifications, assisting in developing administrative rules and procedures, and handling complex situations.
- Assist in the completion of industry surveys and serve as a resource to provide additional support as needed.
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee values testing and post-release validation activities for FBL systems.
- Respond to and resolve complex special/manual customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff and other FBL personnel at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, or related field.
- Five years of related industry experience preferred.
- ALMI designation preferred.
- Knowledge of the FAST administration system a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of life insurance illustration systems a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand policy contracts and reinsurance treaties preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems preferred.
- Prioritization and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite, especially in VBA/Excel.
- Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.
- Some travel may be required.
- Must work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
